Buy this book!
I was part of a Zoom discussion of this book, held once a week for 1 1/4 hours in the evening for six weeks, with ten participants from two suburban NJ Episcopal churches. Over 2/3 of participants were white. This was the right book for this purpose -- the first such discussion our churches had had like this. She gets at many concrete issues of interactions in daily like (like micro aggressions) as well as giving the needed historical/cultural background. A good book for such a group to get started with. I felt like many members of the book study, including me, moved forward.
